Kemerovo State Medical University is a higher educational institution in the field of medical and pharmaceutical education in Russia, Kemerovo, organized in 1955 as Kemerovo State Medical Institute. Since 1995 — Kemerovo State Medical Academy. The current name Kemerovo State Medical University is from 2016.

Full official name: Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education “Kemerovo State Medical University” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

History

The Medical university was founded in 1955 as Kemerovo State Medical Institute. In 1995, the medical institute was renamed to Kemerovo State Medical Academy Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of the Russian Federation. In 2016, the Medical Academy was renamed to Kemerovo State Medical University Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Order No. 350 of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation dated 06.06.2016)
